About Nurtura Babies

What they are, how they are made and who may enjoy them.

What is a Nurtura Baby?

A Nurtura Baby is a realistic full-body silicone doll created for comfort, connection, discovery and gentle role-play. Each baby combines newborn-inspired weight and softness with detailed finishing, an optional arrival experience and access to Nurtura's sound-supported moments and routines.

Nurtura Babies are designed to be experienced, not collected.

Are Nurtura Babies toys?

No. Nurtura Babies are not traditional children's toys and are not designed for rough play or unsupervised use by young children. They are substantial silicone dolls intended for gentle, guided interaction. Adult supervision is required whenever they are used by or around children.

Who are Nurtura Babies designed for?

People choose Nurtura Babies for many different reasons, including imaginative role-play, sensory comfort, quiet care routines, sibling preparation, education, connection and supported engagement.

They may be enjoyed by adults, families, older children with supervision, carers, educators and organisations. Suitability always depends on the individual, the setting and the level of supervision required.

What makes Nurtura Babies different?

Nurtura brings the product and experience together. Alongside the realistic full-body silicone baby, customers can choose an arrival experience and receive a separate miniature Bluetooth speaker for immersive baby sounds and guided routines.

Each Nurtura Baby is designed and finished in Australia using globally sourced components and is thoughtfully prepared for its new home.

Are Nurtura Babies anatomically correct?

Many Nurtura Babies have anatomically detailed full-body sculpts. The individual product listing identifies the baby's presentation and other relevant features so you can choose what feels appropriate for you, your family or your setting.

Are they medical or therapeutic devices?

No. Nurtura Babies are not medical, therapeutic, clinical, behavioural or psychological devices, and they do not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. They may be incorporated into comfort, education or support environments, but they do not replace professional care, assessment or treatment.

Choosing and arrival experiences

Selecting your baby and deciding how you would like the experience to begin.

How do I choose the right Nurtura Baby?

Start with the features that matter most to you: awake or asleep, hair or bald, size, weight, skin tone and overall expression. Each product page includes the baby's measurements, weight, appearance, availability and arrival options.

For a supported setting, also consider who will use the baby, how it will be handled and whether its weight and features are appropriate for that person.

What are the arrival experience options?

Comfort & Connection presents the Nurtura Baby dressed, wearing a nappy and wrapped in a blanket for an immediately comforting welcome.

Discovery offers a more immersive role-play presentation using a sack-style birth presentation with an umbilical cord accessory and clamp.

Do I have to use the arrival experience exactly as supplied?

No. The experience is optional and adaptable. You can use all of it, simplify it, set parts aside or welcome the baby simply wrapped in the blanket. Parents, carers and professionals should choose what is comfortable and appropriate for the individual and setting.

Can I change the arrival experience after ordering?

Contact us as quickly as possible. If preparation has not begun, we may be able to help. Once an order has entered preparation or dispatch, changes may no longer be possible.

Will my baby look exactly like the photographs?

Your baby will be the model shown, but slight variations are normal. Screen settings can change how colour appears, and moulded silicone with individually finished details may show small differences in colouring, texture, seams, hair, eyelashes or other handcrafted features.

Ordering and payment

Checkout, payment providers and what happens after an order is placed.

Which payment methods do you accept?

The methods displayed at checkout may include card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, PayPal, Afterpay and Klarna. Availability can depend on the device, browser, customer, order and location.

Afterpay, Klarna and PayPal control their own eligibility, approval and payment arrangements. See our Payment Options page for more information.

Can I use Afterpay or Klarna?

Yes, when the provider appears at checkout and approves your transaction. Nurtura cannot approve an account, increase a limit or purchasing power, change payment dates or override a declined transaction.

Read our dedicated Afterpay and Klarna information before purchasing.

Does PayPal offer Pay in 4?

PayPal may offer Pay in 4 to eligible customers when it is available for the purchase. PayPal determines approval, payment arrangements and terms. Review the live offer in PayPal before confirming rather than assuming it will be available for every order.

Can I combine two payment methods?

Only payment combinations expressly supported by the live checkout are available. Do not assume that one order can be divided between a card, PayPal, Afterpay, Klarna or another method.

What happens after I place my order?

You will receive an order confirmation at the email address used at checkout. Nurtura then confirms payment authorisation, prepares the selected baby and arrival experience, completes final checks and packages the order for dispatch. Tracking is provided when applicable.

Can I cancel or change an order?

Please contact us immediately. We will help where reasonably possible, but changes or cancellations are not guaranteed once preparation, fulfilment or dispatch has begun. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected.

Shipping and returns

In-stock orders, backorders, international delivery and help when something is wrong.

What is the difference between in stock and backorder?

In stock means the Nurtura Baby is available for Nurtura to prepare and dispatch within the processing estimate shown.

Available on backorder means the baby has been ordered before stock reaches Nurtura. The product-page estimate applies and includes inbound freight, preparation, quality checks and final packaging.

How long will my order take?

In-stock orders are ordinarily processed within the timeframe stated on the product listing. Backorder estimates are displayed at purchase and may be longer. Carrier transit begins only after dispatch and varies by service and destination.

Please read our Shipping and Delivery Policy for the current information.

Is express shipping available?

Express shipping is available for eligible in-stock Nurtura Babies when displayed at checkout. It is not available for backorders. Express is a faster carrier service after dispatch; it does not remove Nurtura's preparation time or guarantee delivery on a particular date.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Nurtura ships to New Zealand and selected destinations across Europe, North America and Asia when the country is available at checkout. International postage is an additional cost. The recipient may also be responsible for destination duties, taxes, customs charges or carrier fees.

Can I return my Nurtura Baby?

Eligible change-of-mind returns may be requested within the period and conditions stated in our policy. The item must remain unused, unhandled and complete, and the return must be approved before it is sent.

Different processes apply to damaged, faulty or incorrect items. Read the full Refunds and Returns Policy before requesting a return.

What if my order arrives damaged, incomplete or incorrect?

Contact us promptly with your order number, a description of the issue and clear photographs of the item and packaging. Keep all packaging while we assess the matter. The short notification request helps us investigate with the carrier and does not remove any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.

Care and safety

Gentle handling, water, clothing and recognising ordinary wear.

Can Nurtura Babies go in water?

The silicone baby may be gently rinsed or bathed using lukewarm water and a small amount of mild soap when needed. Pat dry with a soft towel and allow the baby to air-dry completely.

The separate Bluetooth speaker, charging cable and other electronic items must never enter water. Nurtura Babies are not flotation devices or unsupervised bath toys.

How should I clean my Nurtura Baby?

Use clean hands, a soft cloth, lukewarm water and gentle handling. Avoid alcohol, bleach, harsh cleaners, abrasive cloths, rough sponges, oils and forceful rubbing. Follow the full Care Information for cleaning, drying, powdering and storage.

Can clothing stain the silicone?

Yes. Silicone can absorb colour from dark, strongly dyed or unwashed fabrics, denim, inks and other coloured materials. Choose light-coloured, pre-washed clothing and avoid leaving dark materials in prolonged contact with the baby.

How do I care for rooted hair?

Rooted hair is delicate. Handle it as little as possible, avoid pulling or vigorous brushing, and use only very gentle washing when necessary. Some shedding can occur naturally over time, particularly with regular handling or water exposure.

What signs of wear are normal?

Light marks, subtle finish changes, minor friction wear, fine surface lines and gradual changes in high-contact areas can occur through normal interaction. Small variations, seams, texture differences and moulding marks may also be part of how the silicone baby was made.

When should I stop using the product?

Stop using the baby or accessory immediately if a part becomes loose or detached, or if silicone becomes split, cracked or structurally compromised. Keep any detached component away from children and vulnerable people and contact Nurtura for guidance.

Where can I find the complete safety guidance?

Please read the Safety Information and Product Disclaimer before use. It explains small-parts risks, supervision, product boundaries, organisational responsibilities and when a product should be removed from use.

Important

Nurtura Babies contain or arrive with small parts and separate accessories. They are not suitable for children under three years of age, and adult supervision is required whenever they are used by or around children.

Sound, registration and organisations

The separate sound kit, post-purchase resources and use in supported settings.

Is the sound speaker inside the baby?

No. The miniature Bluetooth speaker is a separate electronic accessory. It is not inserted into, installed in or attached to the Nurtura Baby. This keeps the silicone body intact and allows the speaker to be positioned appropriately for each activity.

What sounds and routines are included?

Nurtura provides post-purchase access to immersive baby sounds and structured moments and routines designed for gentle role-play, interaction and sleep-themed experiences. The access information and speaker setup guidance are supplied privately with the Nurtura Baby.

Can I register my Nurtura Baby?

Yes. Registration is optional and uses the private post-purchase pathway supplied with your baby. It can be used to record selected details and request the personalised items or follow-up experience available at that time.

Why can I not find the Getting Started pages in the menu?

Getting Started and its supporting resources are intentionally private post-purchase content. Customers receive the direct access pathway with their Nurtura Baby, so those pages are not listed in the public navigation or Customer Information hub.

Can organisations purchase Nurtura Babies?

Yes. Nurtura Babies may be considered for aged care, disability support, education, birth education, parenting support, emotional wellbeing activities and community programs. Organisations remain responsible for suitability, risk assessment, supervision, professional judgement and their own policies and procedures.

Do you offer bulk orders or organisational support?

Yes. Contact us before purchasing if you need a bulk quote, purchase-order processing, specialised shipping, product selection support or information for internal approval. Organisational fulfilment and return arrangements may differ from standard consumer orders.
